FAQ ZERO! CLINICS

When participating in a ZERO! Clinic there are of course still questions from parents / participants, in our FAQ (below) we have answered as many of those questions as possible.

If your question is not listed, feel free to send an email to info@zphs.nl

  • Are you always available?

    • During the clinics we are available 24 hours a day for emergencies.

    • The BMHV can be reached during the clinics on telephone number 035 541 4540

    • ZERO! ParaHockey Foundation supervisors can be reached on telephone number 0654 222 340

  • My child has a peculiarity? Can he/she join the clinic?

    • Children with special needs such as ADHD, autism, asthma or certain allergies can join us at our camps. Please indicate this clearly when registering. For children who require a lot of extra individual attention and guidance, it is useful to contact us by telephone in advance.

  • My child is on medication, how do you deal with this?

    • Preferably, the medicines are delivered to the Supervisor. This will ensure that the medicines are taken at the right times. If your child manages the medication himself, the staff cannot check whether the medication is being taken.

  • Can my child sign up for a clinic alone?

    • Much of the ZERO! Clinics participants come alone so that's no problem! Our clinics are structured in such a way that everyone gets to know each other well from the start of the clinic.

  • My child is just too young for the clinic where his friends are going, can he still come?

    • The age limit is generally determined by the experience, physical strength and perception of the child. In consultation between the staff of the ZERO! Clinics and parents will make a decision.

  • How are the children classified?

    • We always look at the individual wishes of the children. It can be indicated on the registration form with whom they want to join the group. If you do not enter anything here, we will classify the children by level and age as much as possible. If it turns out at the start or during the clinic that they are not in the right group, they can always be switched.

  • My son/daughter would like to join a boyfriend/girlfriend in the group, is this possible?

    • The group division is made on the basis of age and level. On the registration form you can indicate with whom your son/daughter wants to join the group. Did the boyfriends/girlfriends sign up later? You can always send an email to info@zphs.nl with the names your son/daughter wants to join the group.

  • Can the children bring a mobile phone to the clinic?

    • We strongly advise against bringing mobile phones and/or valuables to the clinic. (The Supervisor telephone can be used by the participants to call home if necessary).

    • But because the lives of the children often take place on social media, the children are allowed to bring their mobile phones to the clinic. Only at set times is one allowed to use the mobile phone. So not while eating, on the hockey fields, but making friends for half an hour and, for example, sharing photos with the home is possible. Of course you can, but you don't have to!

    • If the items are taken with you, this is at your own risk. However, there is a safe place where valuables can be deposited.

  • Are alcoholic beverages allowed to be brought/drink by the children?

    • It is not allowed to bring or drink alcoholic beverages to the clinic.

  • Can children bring/smoke cigarettes?

    • It is not allowed to bring cigarettes to the clinic or to smoke.

  • Does my child need to bring food or drink?

    • No that is not necessary. The ZERO! ParaHockey Foundation provides lunch, drinks and snacks (eg fruit) during the clinic.

  • Do the participants need money during the clinic?

    • At all clinics it is possible to buy something to drink or snacks from 16:30.

    • There is always enough to eat and drink and there is always the possibility to get food or drink from the house staff when necessary.

  • Do you take vegetarians and diets into account?

    • Of course we take vegetarians and different diets into account at our clinics, provided this is practically possible and has been communicated in advance.

  • Can I still register my son/daughter for a clinic?

    • You can register up to a week before the start of the clinic. We can always make extra groups and use extra supervisors.

  • I have not received a confirmation email

    • If you have not received a confirmation email, it is best to contact us. There may be an error in the email address. With some e-mail accounts, the confirmation e-mail also wants to end up in the spam/advertising folder. Send an email with your child's first and last name to info@zphs.nl We will ensure that you receive a confirmation after all.

  • How can I pay the Participation Fee

    • At the moment it is only possible to pay by transferring the Participation Fee to the bank account of the ZERO! ParaHockey Foundation.

    • The payment term is 14 days after receipt of the confirmation

  • What does the surrender cancellation risk entail?

    • During the registration of the clinic it is possible to buy off the cancellation risk for a fee of 8% of the travel sum per participant. View our General Terms and Conditions for an explanation of the cancellation policy.

  • What happens if I cancel my child's clinic?

    • See our Terms and Conditions.

  • Why do I need travel and accident insurance with sports coverage?

    • This insurance is only necessary if your own insurance policy does not insure hockey and classifies it as a 'dangerous' sport. Please contact your insurance company to see if it insures the sport of hockey.

    • In addition to hockey, no dangerous things are done that require extra insurance.

    • We want to make parents aware that their child is properly insured at camp. Should something happen to the participant, we do not want parents to be faced with high costs.

    • It is possible to take out cancellation insurance up to a maximum of 10 days after registration, provided that there are at least 7 days left before the start of the clinic.

    • If you want to cancel the registration of your son/daughter, you must do so by e-mail (to info@zphs.nl). You can cancel the registration free of charge up to 8 weeks before the start of the  clinic. • Do I have to bring my own goalie equipment?

    • Yes, see Terms and Conditions
